Tom Hilbert
I build small apps and run them myself.
A live-music finder, a caseload tracker, and the Mac mini in my house that hosts both of them.
Projects
PortageLakesLive
moving in soon
Who's playing live music around the Portage Lakes this week — venues, set times, and lake conditions, without digging through five different Facebook pages.

ZipMusicLive
moving in soon
Same idea, any ZIP code. Type yours in and see what's playing nearby — if there's nothing there yet, it asks where I should build next.

Pretrial Case Monitor
live demo
A caseload tool I built for pretrial officers who were stuck fighting spreadsheets. Runs in the browser, or as its own offline desktop app.

This site
You're looking at it. Runs on a Mac mini in my house — Docker, Caddy, and a Cloudflare Tunnel. No hosting bill, nothing to babysit but me.

About
I build things for problems I actually have. Most of what I ship is small on purpose — one page that does one job, nothing more.
I host it all myself instead of paying someone else to. That means the occasional Sunday spent rebooting something, but I always know exactly where everything lives and why it's running. Mostly I just want it to still work in six months when I haven't touched it.
